Can I use this spillway in a koi pond or water garden?

Yes—but additional filtration is required. These spillways work best in clean-water applications. In with fish, waste or algae can clog the narrow spillway outlet. Use a pre-filter or pressure filter to keep the water debris-free.

How high can I mount the acrylic spillway?

We recommend installing no more than 3 feet above the water surface. Higher installs can reduce water sheet quality and put strain on the pump.

What pump size do I need for my acrylic spillway?

As a general guide, aim for 100 gallons per hour (GPH) per inch of spillway at a height of 2–3 feet. For example, a 24" spillway would need around 2,400 GPH. Always check the pump’s flow rate at your specific head height.
